Covid Safety

The safety of our students and teachers is a top priority for us, so we have put in place a number of measures for face-to-face teaching based on government guidelines and information from the Musicians’ Union (“Teaching Music during the Coronavirus Outbreak”).

These include:

  • Use of face coverings compulsory for teachers and for all students over 11 years, and preferred for those under 11, unless exempt. Where masks are not worn, a distance of 2 metres must be maintained at all times.

  • Hand sanitiser is available in all rooms and must be used by students before and after the lesson

  • Student and teacher only in the lesson room and one person per waiting area

  • Extra time between lessons allocated for cleaning of all high-touch points

  • Rooms arranged to allow for social distancing and second pianos added to the piano rooms so the teacher and students aren't sharing

  • Ventilation created by opening windows or doors.

Please do not attend your lesson if you or a member of your family is experiencing Covid-symptoms. Please follow government guidelines regarding testing and self-isolation. If you are feeling well enough, you may be able to carry out your lesson online.
